Veterans Day Events
The City of Mill Creek is proud to honor veterans of the U. S.  Armed Forces and their many sacrifices with Veterans Day events, including: a Veterans Walk; commemorative ceremony; parade; military displays; and a car show.

Veterans Monument at Library Park, 15429 Bothell-Everett Hwy, Mill Creek
This solemn event is a time to recognize those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. We will honor veterans by era in which they have served. We also will hand out poppies, which reminds the community of the past sacrifices and continuing needs of our veterans. The ceremony will include a welcome address from Mayor Pam Pruitt, prayer by Mill Creek Police Chaplain Nick Lewis, presenting of the colors and flag raising by Mill Creek Police Officer veterans, the laying of a wreath on the monument, and a bugler from Bugles Across America playing Taps.

Main Street in Mill Creek Town Center (between LA Fitness and City Hall (15024 Main St. to 15720 Main St.)
Parade Emcee & Participant Performance Area: Four way stop at Main St & 153rd St SE.
The parade is a jubilant, patriotic event with military and high school bands, color guards, vintage military vehicles, horses, community groups, veterans and tons of family fun. Bring a chair and arrive along the parade route early. This event is outdoors - so please dress accordingly.

The parade Grand Marshal is Command Sgt. Maj. Walter A. Tagalicud from Joint Base Lewis-McChord. He's the senior enlisted ranking person on the base (i.e., the highest ranking enlisted person). He advises the commander on enlisted issues and helps manage the 20,000 troops stationed there. To be added to the parade participant list, select this link.

Veterans Walk
With the help of the Veteran Advisory Committee, the City has expanded its Veterans Walk throughout Mill Creek. Mannequins borrowed from University Bookstore will be dressed in vintage military uniforms and displayed in local storefront windows the week before the annual Veterans Day events. Come and see the different eras that are represented!

Along the parade route down Main Street, there will be five tent displays of military memorabilia from the NW Veterans Museum, numerous displays from museums at Paine Field, and static vehicle displays.

Car Show
City Hall North Parking Lot, 15720 Main St.
After the parade is over, the many classic cars and antique military vehicles will move to the City Hall North parking lot, 15720 Main St., for a mini-car show.
